The US Army and the Delaware Army National Guard are committed to environmental stewardship in all actions as an integral part of the Federal and State mission and to ensure sustainability. The Environmental Program Management Office conducts environmental awareness training programs and is responsible for the development of policy, programs and procedures to meet environmental management goals and maintain compliance with Federal, State and Other requirements.

Environmental Asset Management: Includes Natural Resource Management and compliance with Threatened and Endangered Species Act, Wetlands management, Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act requirements.
Pest Management: Developed in accordance with Army principles and best management practices.
Cultural Resource Management: Includes compliance with Native American Graves and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and the National Historic Preservation Act.
Pollution Prevention: Includes reduction, reuse and recycling programs.
Munitions on Ranges: Includes compliance with the Military Munitions Rule
Hazardous Materials Management: Includes proper management and reduction of hazardous materials and compliance with regulations related to toxic substances.
Waste Management: Program focuses on solid waste minimization.
Environmental Cleanup: Program focuses on compliance with Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST), Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.(RCRA).
