The State Safety Office provides safety support of all DNG maintenance facilities, office buildings, and storage buildings. Safety support includes:

Injury Prevention and Damage Control

• Investigate accidents
• Develop countermeasure programs
• Maintain and analyze accident statistics
• AMV/POV Defensive Driver Training

Tactical Force Protection

• Managed through the use of Risk Management
• Range Safety
• Explosive Safety
• Tactical Safety
• Convoy Safety
• Visitations and Inspections
• Mobilization/Movement Safety

Family and Recreation Safety

• Inspection of family facilities
• Inspection of play areas

Safety Compliance

• Inspect DEARNG facilities on an annual basis
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidance (i.e. OSHA, DA, DOD, NGB)
• Properly utilize non-regulatory guidance to promote safety and health in the workplace
