The Delaware DMV (Division of Motor Vehicles) offers special license plates to recognize military members. These plates are to be displayed on the rear of the vehicle in the normal license plate mounting location. The special tag is displayed in lieu of the normal plate; the normal plate must be kept in the vehicle in a location accessible to the driver. Both the normal and special tags must be listed on the vehicle's registration for the special tag to be lawfully displayed. Only one special plate may be associated with a vehicle.
NOTE: EZ-Pass customers must inform EZ-Pass account services that a special plate is being displated on the vehicle. Failure to do so may result in unintentional charges should your EZ-Pass transponder not function properly while going through a toll booth.
