Yawn promoted to

Joe Yawn was
promoted to First Lieutenant at first formation during the July drill
weekend. 1st Lt. Yawn’s wife and father-in-law assisted with the promotion
ceremony. His two young sons, who were patiently waiting for the event to
end so that they could go fishing, were also in attendance.
Yawn, who currently
serves as the Cable Platoon Leader in Company A, 280th Signal Battalion,
has twelve years of military experience. He began his career as an
enlisted soldier in the 82nd Airborne Corps where he served as a Vulcan
Air Defense Artillery Operator.
After leaving active
duty, he joined the Army Reserves, his last assignment was in Virginia
where he enrolled in the state Officer Candidate School (OCS) program.
After seven months in that program, he transferred to Delaware into OCS
Class #42. Upon receiving his commission, he was assigned to his current
position in Company A.
In his civilian job,
Yawn works in the field of nuclear medical technology – specifically in
the area of diagnostic therapeutic imaging. |
