Basket Brigade delivers Thanksgiving meals to families in need
Photos by Master Sgt. Keith Strouss, Counterdrug Team

Continuing an annual tradition, members of our Delaware National Guard Counterdrug Team helped deliver more than 1,500 Thankgiving Day meals to less fortunate families in Wilmington and New Castle as part of the Basket Brigade. Each meal kit contained a turkey with all the trimmings and was delivered door-to-door. The families then were able to carry out their own holiday traditions and cook the meals to their liking. Many thanks to Army Maj. Rob Pankiw for organizing the participation and the entire Counterdrug Team for taking a day to help others in the community.
