Delaware National Guard  19th Annual Prayer Breakfast The Delaware National Guard hosted its 19th Annual Prayer Breakfast 0n Tuesday, February 12, at the Christiana Country Club (formerly Cavaliers Country Club). 261st Signal Brigade holds 'Vision Symposium' Brig. Gen. Jim Dougherty assembled the retired officers of the 261st Signal Brigade on Sunday, Feb. 10, to share his Vision for the unit and solicit their input. As the key leaders who developed the vision in the past and who transformed the 261st Signal Command years ago, these gentlemen represent over 450 years of collective experience and expertise. Keeping up with 'CSM shuffle' at 261st Signal Brigade 2002 is the ‘Sergeant Major Year of Change’ at the 261st Signal Brigade. Sgt. Maj. Bill Garner and Sgt. Maj. Edwin Cooke, who are dual-slotted in the Signal Plans NCO position at the 261st Signal Brigade, will retire in April and May, respectively. Command Sgt. Maj. Gerald Abbott, Command Sergeant Major for the 261st Signal Brigade will retire in August. Based on these retirements, the following changes will occur... Rich, 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Senior Health Technician, is heading up a new Base Fitness Program for 166 Airlift Wing, Delaware Air National Guard. Buildings 2806, 2809 come crumbling down! The completion of building 2805, which now houses both the  142nd Airlift Squadron and the 142nd Aeromedical Squadron, left Buildings 2806 and 2809 without residents before the February drill weekend. Frank D. Vavala, adjutant general of the Delaware National Guard and most of the other soldiers at the Senior Leaders Conference, February 9. Carper was not scheduled to attend or speak at the conference this year, which was held at Gunning Bedford Middle School in Delaware City. Duncan during his 35 years of dedicated service in the Delaware National Guard. 287th Army Band team places second in ruck march A team from the Army Guard’s 287th Band placed second in the annual Six-mile Ruck March Race held Saturday, Feb. 9, hosted on Dover Air Force Base by their Security Forces Squadron. Interdenominational service celebrates Black History Month at 166 Airlift Wing The Military Equal Opportunity Office and the Chaplain’s Office of the 166 Airlift Wing hosted an interdenominational chapel service celebrating Black History Month on Sunday, February 10, 2002. BG Stewart promotes Marra to Colonel Battle Lab simulates wartime scenario for signal units During the January MUTA, elements of the 261st Signal Brigade and its subordinate battalions (198th and 280th) assembled at the Training and Training Technology Battle Lab (T3BL) at Ft.
