training
January drill marked a new semester of classes that are only offered annually at the 193rd Regional Training Institute (RTI). Air Guard hosts annual CPR classes The Delaware Air National Guard hosted a full day of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training on January 27 for their members and the local community. New readiness center taking shape The Delaware Army National Guard's newest readiness center, which will soon be home to the 261st Signal Brigade, 721st Troop Command and 31st Civil Support Team (WMD), is nearing completion in Smyrna. CW5 Boyer retires The Delaware Army National Guard celebrated the retirement of CW5 Linden L. Boyer, Jr. on January 25 at the Boondocks Restaurant in Smyrna. Biden visits Delaware MPs in Saudi Arabia Sen. Joseph Biden, while on a ten-country tour of Southwest Asia recently, had the opportunity to visit our 153rd Military Police Company, which is has been deployed to Saudi Arabia since August 2002. B 1/150th Aviation Activity at the Duncan Readiness Center and the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Delaware, was at an all time high this past weekend, January 11 and 12. 945th receives Supply Excellence Award The 945th Collection & Classification Company was presented the Supply Excellence Award on Jan. 11. Brig. Gen. Ronald Stewart and Col. Peter Fedorkowicz recognized the unit for having the "Best Supply Operation" in the Delaware Army National Guard for Train Year '02. 262nd trains for chemical environment operations It was ‘business as usual’ at the 262nd Maintenance Co. Dallas Glass of Det. 1, 262nd GS Maint. Co., and Staff Sgt. Sonja Robbins of the 945th Service Co. both graduated from Phase one of the 63-series militarty occupational specialty (MOS) course at Ft. Indiantown Gap on December 20. Aviation deployment supports Combat Maneuver Training Center in Germany Eight personnel from Company A 3/126 Aviation and twelve personnel from Company C 2/126 Aviation represented Delaware Army Aviation while on recent deployment to Hohenfels, Germany. Their mission: to support the aviation assets of the Combat Maneuver Training Center (CMTC). Awards, promotions presented to 287th Army Band members Who is the 721st Troop Command? The 721st Troop Command came into existence in the Delaware Army National Guard on December 1. It is not a new unit, but a significant renaming of the former Det. 3, State Area Command (1st Battalion, 72nd Troop Command). |
