DNG Softball Team
takes 2nd place By
Command Sgt. Maj. James C. Vavala
Your Delaware National Guard Softball Team wrapped up its season by
capturing the second place trophy in the 2001 Adult Slow Pitch (Newark
Softball) Gold League. Coach Mark Schroeder summed up the season and his
team's performance in this way:
"…this was one of my most memorable seasons ever! I witnessed a
group of players who came together, communicated, and became a team.
I am so confident in this team, that I can put any (opposing) team on the
field and (we'll) win. Whether win or lose, we still were a team, a
team that played hard and never quit, a team (that) has just begun to
unleash its potential, and they have class!"
