Honoring those who died for our
freedom
The Delaware National Guard helped
pay tribute to our fallen veterans this Memorial Day by participating
throughout the state in numerous ceremonies and activities as guest
speakers, honor guards, firing details, color guards, marching in parades
and helicopter flyovers.
The ceremony served as a reminder to all
that Memorial Day doesn’t so much mark the official start of summer, the
day we open our pools, or the start of a good sale, but a day to remember
our veterans.
These photos by Capt. Len Gratteri
are from the ceremony held on May 30th at the Delaware Veterans Memorial
Cemetery.
