Delaware welcomes five members of 142nd AES home
On Thursday, March 14, five members of the 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron returned home to Delaware. The other 12 members are expected to return later this month or next month, according to Capt. Len Gratteri, State Public Affairs Officer.

Donahues honored by Maryland Police
Sgt. Major Charles Donahue and his son, Steven, were recognized by the Maryland Transportation Authority Police at its Annual Awards Ceremony in Baltimore on March 20 for their actions in April 2001.

DE National Guard, Red Cross team up to assist fire victims in Georgetown
Red Cross volunteers worked around the clock all last week at the Georgetown Readiness Center receiving and sorting donations of food and clothing for 233 fire victims.

Millers team up in food service at Co. A, 280th
Spc. Michael Miller and his wife Private 1st Class Megan Miller have brought excellent cooking skills and a sense of teamwork to the food service section at Company A, 280th Signal Battalion.

Ford: Honor Grad, proud to serve in 280th
Private 1st Class Robert Ford, a computer/ automation systems repairman (35J) at Company A, 280th Signal Battalion, was awarded ‘Honor Graduate’ upon recent completion of his Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course.  

Signal exercise: 'practice run' for April FTX
Members of the 280th Signal Battalion and the 259th TROPO Company deployed to six locations within the state, setting-up a communications network that provided voice and data service at locations that will be used next month during a joint FTX with the 72nd Troop Command.

Teamwork, risk assessment key success during signal exercise
By Sunday afternoon, the winds had picked-up and the gusts were up to 25 miles per hour. The members of Company B, 280th Signal Battalion knew that bringing down two 90’ antennas at the New Castle Rifle Range was not going to be an easy task.

Processing civilians on the battlefield
Company A, 280th Signal Battalion, assisted by the observer/controllers from the 312th Training Support Battalion, trained on the procedures for processing civilians on the battlefield during the March FTX.
