The Delaware Army National Guard's 153rd Military Police Company joined
soldiers of the Army Central Forces Command-Saudi Arabia in a three-day
readiness exercise designed to test the responsiveness of the Eskan
Village emergency responders. The lane training, developed in accordance
with the Eight-step Training Model, presented three scenarios to the
training soldiers, one new scenario each day.
Day one's exercise included a terrorist-controlled bus crashing into
the main gate of the installation. A bomb aboard the bus subsequently
exploded. Day two featured a chemical attack and responders operated in
MOPP 4. And day three included a Scud launch, terrorist breach into the
installation, and a sniper attack - all while incorporating civilian media
trying to cover the story.
