More 166th SFS troops deployed for up to 12 months
On Thursday, November 8th, 27 members of the Delaware National Guard’s 166th Security Forces Squadron, 166th Airlift Wing, New Castle County Airport Air National Guard Base, received orders placing them on active duty in accordance with the partial mobilization authorized by President Bush. The group reported on Tuesday, November 13th for official duty.

Delaware National Guard collects "Coats for
Kids"
On Saturday & Sunday, November 17th & 18th, 2001, The
Delaware National Guard will open 12 of its Readiness Centers throughout
the state as collection points for its 2nd Annual Coats
for Kids campaign. "Last year your Delaware Guard
collected more than 500 coats and helped distribute them locally to those
in need of a warm winter coat," said Command Sgt. Maj. James Vavala,
co-organizer of the drive.
