Guard'Views of Valor' Heritage Committee exhibition open until Jan. By Maj. Jane Zak, 198th Signal Battalion The Historical Society of Delaware and the Delaware National Guard Heritage Committee proudly present the exhibition, ’Views of Valor: World War I Paintings by Schoonover and Hoskins’.
For the first time since being painted, the Schoonover and Hoskins paintings, owned by the Delaware National Guard, will be displayed to the public at the Delaware History Museum. Also on display are a selection of World War I uniforms, weapons and posters owned by the Historical Society of Delaware. This exhibit opened November 11, 2002, and will remain on display until January 11, 2003 at The Delaware History Museum that is located at 504 Market Street in Wilmington. Viewing hours are noon to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The Museum is closed on holidays. Cost for admission is free to members, $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for senior citizens (over 65) and students, $2.00 for youths (under 18), and group tours are $2.00.
