261st pays special recognition to soldiers who go the extra mile

Staff Sgt. Charles Kosiek (left), Company B, 280th Signal Battalion, was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for being selected as the 261st Signal Brigade’s nomination for NCO of the Year. Sgt. 1st Class Brian Perry, 259th Signal Company was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his outstanding performance during Grecian Firebolt ’02.

Special Recognition
On behalf of Brig. Gen. James Dougherty, the 261st Signal Brigade would like to recognize the individuals and organizations who were instrumental in making the Honors Dinner event a success – The First Regiment Color Guard, the 287th Army Band Starlight Combo, Pfc. Eugena Roache, Det. 1 444th Mobile Public Affairs, and Sgt. Nina Ritter, who sang during the ceremony.

Members of the 287th Band’s Starlight Combo, Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Snyder, 2nd Lt. Michael Jochen, Sgt. Smith, and Sgt. Prosack play music during the cocktail hour that preceeded the formal Honors Dinner ceremony.
