Delaware runners compete in Army 10-miler race

Twelve members of the Delaware National Guard participated in the Army Ten-Miler held in Washington D.C. on Sunday, October 20. Over 18,000 runners were registered for the annual event, the largest ten-mile race in the nation.

At the Geico sponsored pasta dinner, the evening before the race, team members met and had a picture taken with General Eric K. Shinseki, the Army Chief of Staff. Delaware team members were:

The race, which was cancelled last year after September 11, was a very organized success. We look forward to increasing the number of Delaware National Guard participants for next year's event .
