166th change of authority

Wing Command Chief Master Sgt. William G. Blest relinquished the authority of his position to Wing Vice Commander Ernest G. Talbert during ceremonies on October 6.

Chief Master Sgt. John A. Jaskewich (right) stepped forward to accept his appointment as the new Wing Command Chief. Master Sgt. Eunice E. Kindle assisted Col Talbert with the plaque representing the enlisted members and the authority of the Wing Command Chief Master Sergeant.

The Wing Command Chief Master Sergeant represents the enlisted force and serves as principle advisor to the Wing Commander on all matters of importance to enlisted members.

The occasion also celebrated Chief Blest’s retirement and award of the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his leadership, accomplishments and distinguished career in the service of his country.
