Delaware National Guard Delaware runners compete in Army 10-miler Race Twelve members of the Delaware National Guard participated in the Army Ten-Miler held in Washington DC on Sunday, October 20th. Over 18,000 runners were registered for the annual event, (the largest ten-mile race in the nation). ANG civil engineers train with northern neighbors The 166th Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) of the Delaware Air National Guard deployed 46 members to Canada on August 24 and returned on September 7, teaming up with counterpart engineers from the Canadian Air Force to help complete five projects. Spruance enters Aviation Hall of Fame Brig. Gen. (retired) William W. Spruance, regarded as the founding father of our Delaware Air Guard, was inducted into the Delaware Aviation Hall of Fame in a ceremony held at the duPont Aviation Facility on the New Castle County Airport on October 12th. 166th Airlift Wing change of authority ANG Fire Department responds to FedEx explosion The Delaware Air National Guard (DE ANG) Fire Department responded to a chemical incident at the FedEX Building on Commons Blvd at the request of the Fire Board on Wednesday, October 9. Deployed airman supports Operation Enduring Freedom Master Sgt. Mitch Gauge, chief of our 166th Airlift Wing Fire Department, is currently deployed overseas to a classified forward operating location in direct support of the Air Force effort in Operation Enduring Freedom. 153rd military families recognized When Amercian Legion Post 25 president, Corbit Goff, suggested to his long-time friend, Sen.
