Soldiers of 198th, 280th help society fight disease in former worker's name

Soldiers, family members and friends of the late Staff Sgt. Barrington St. John prepare to walk in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk.

Soldiers from the 198th & 280th Signal Battalions participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk on September 20 in memory of the late Staff Sgt. Barrington St. John who was a member of Company B, 280th Signal Battalion. Marjorie St. John, mother of the late St. John, coordinated the team that consisted of her family, co-workers from the Delaware Psychiatric Center, and members of the Delaware National Guard. The team raised a total of $1,200. for this event. All funds raised will support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
