280th Signal Battalion celebrates Family Day 2002
By Command Sgt. Maj. Scott Arterbridge, 280th Signal Battalion CSM

The 280th Signal Battalion held its annual Family Day on September 15. Because of inclement weather, the location was switched three times. Used to adapting to weather conditions, the Signal soldiers overcame the situation and moved to the Georgetown Armory. Approximately 350 soldiers and family members came for a day of fun and camaraderie.

Plenty of chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs were cooked by Chief Smith and his crew Sunday at Family Day.

The moon bounce was very popular with all of the children. 'Sgt. Dan' from the State Police made a guest appearance and spoke with all the children.
Face painting was very popular during Family Day. Josh and Joey Yahn scale the climbing wall.
