Brigadier General Scott E. Chambers

BG Scott E. Chambers became the Assistant Adjutant General for the Delaware Army National Guard in February 2010 after serving as the Commander, 261st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, Delaware Army National Guard. As the Assistant Adjutant General, BG Chambers ensures that all assigned units and personnel are fully trained, deployable and equipped for mobilization support for overseas contingency operations or any other homeland defense operation in support of the national needs.

As Commander of the 261st Signal Brigade BG Chambers provided command, control and supervision for assigned and attached units of the Tactical Theater Signal Brigade (TTSB). He implemented IMA plans, policies and procedures for the Commander of the designated Theater Signal Command (Army). BG Chambers provided leadership and command for the protection, installation, operation, and maintenance of the communications systems in support of Joint / Coalition level functions. He approved all planning, engineering, coordination, and direction for execution of communications and data support as required for combat and combat support operations, Homeland Defense/Homeland Security, operations other than war (OOTW), Joint Task Force (JTF) operations, ARFOR operations and specialized combined or coalition operations. Prior to his assignment, BG Chambers served as the Commander of the 72nd Troop Command and as Director of Military Support, Joint Force Headquarters, Delaware Army National Guard.

EDUCATION:

BG Chambers received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics/Education from University of Delaware in 1984, a Juris Doctor in Law from the Delaware Law School of Widener University in 1988, and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the Army War College in 2003.
