If you are an AGR member, you cannot sign up to compete for a seat until you are on LEAVE STATUS. Meaning, the minute your leave starts, you are eligible to sign up for SPACE A travel. You will be a Category 3 traveler.
Fax, phone, e-mail or in person are all acceptable methods that sign up can be completed. We prefer that you sign-up in person if possible. The signup sheets (AMC FORM 140) are available at the Aerial Port and are also on this website. You must have a copy of your leave form and your valid DD FORM 2 to sign up for travel. You are permitted to bring an immediate family member(s) as long as they possess a valid ID card to present at the SPACE A call. SPACE A calls are performed approximately 3 hours prior to aircraft take off time.
There are restrictions on the amount of baggage you can bring. For more detailed information about the Space-A process and about baggage, please see the links to the right of the Space-A website.
AGR members signing up through fax or e-mail need to include full name, leave number, SS#, the names of your accompanying family members and desired destination.
Remember that when you sign up for SPACE A travel, you are essentially signing up to COMPETE for a seat on that mission and not signing up for an actual seat. The earlier you sign up, the better your chances are to be selected for a seat. Passenger selection is done by CATEGORY and SIGNUP DATE AND TIME.
