The Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) was designed and developed to replace the Instructor Basic Course (IBC) and the Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC). The Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) is a comprehensive course that trains U.S. Army instructors and Department of the Army (DA) Civilians to deliver training in The Army School System (TASS) and requires 80 hours for instructor certification.
